hey i realize i didn't post anything yesterday! but this is with good reason. the fact of the matter is i've got the rest of this month and the next month already pre scheduled with posts. whats that mean? it means i'm sitting here sipping my tea while this blog is pretty much on cruise control aside from my photo posts. the reason there is no post for friday is because i know i could post the coolest blog post in the world and no one would care. simply because on friday nights no one is on the internet trying to find entertainment. it's the middle of the week that you weirdos need something to do not the week end.

so it is for that reason that you will rarely see any posts on friday saturday sunday... consider this a rarity.

the idea behind the group was to always be different no matter what. think different. be different. live different. if everyone does it this way we will do it in reverse, or upside down etc... the group is made up of like minded individuals with an emphasis on being original and being FRESH we can always overcome difficult obstacles or challenges. but a common mis understanding is that we want to be the best. thats not what rmm is about nor was ever about. raw mind movement has always been about changing perceptions. creating. because any fool can become commercially viable or train to be skilled bboy. but not everybody can create an original idea. because an idea is infectious no? a winner is a winner, here today gone tomorrow. but an idea spreads and pretty soon becomes movement. thats why we wanted to call it the "movement" not the "raw mind crew"

first boiling pasta is a pain in the ass you gotta get the perfect texture and cooked'ness, and even to some degree flavor. but some people just don't care about that ish and say pastas pasta but me i'm a perfectionist about that stuff. there are a few tricks like the one where if you fling a strand of pasta at the wall and it sticks then you know it's ready(my personal fave) but the only true way is to just constantly watch over it and taste it every now and then. i like to add a few table spoons of salt to the water.

next up the pesto part.
unfortunately you NEED basil if you want to make this right. and if you don't have a fresh supply growing right outside your house.. hit me up. i planted like 50 billion more then i can even cut and use... it doesn't take a lot just about a hand full

now there are two ways you can do this the lazy mofo way.. or the oldschool blood sweat and a chipped nails way.
i chose half and half cause i'm OG no doubt.. first before i did anything i blitzed up the almonds about two full hand fulls. then i put them aside some were (because they're a garnish) then i put another handful in along with a block of parmesan about a table spoon of salt two cloves of garlic and all the basil and extra virgin olive oil.

the olive oil is an integral part too little and that stuff will be a paste. too much and you got your self a green garlic soup...
just use your spidey sense and add a bit at a time. i'd suggest if this is your first time making pesto just go by table spoon increments til you reach the desired density. me i just go by eye. cause once again i'm og like that.

by this point the pasta is probably done make sure to put some oil on it after you've strained it or you'll be eating a jello mold of spaghetti.
when it first comes out of the blender it'll look something like goose pooh... but don't be thrown off that is what it should look like. mix that into the pasta .

once it's mixed in you need to juice your lemon. poor the lemon juice over top and mix again

now for spinach i just used frozen veriety but if you h-core go by all means use fresh spinach and clean boil and strain it by hand. i just nuked that ish and threw it in and mixed it again.

and voila! i wanted to add tomatoes as well but i just did it on the fly so yea..
this would go good with a nice salad or baguette

don't forget to garnish with the almonds and a bit of freshly grated parm.

where have i been? livin life my friends livin life ..
the other day the heat was killing it. so i headed down to lynn canyon with brian . a quick google of "vancouver swimming holes" sent me here:

what more could a guy ask for??

another guy who was as stoked as i was said " people don't even know... they go to pools and water parks and pay.. this place is like nature's giant free playground!! they don't even know.. i'd take this over that any day!" then he did a front flip off the water fall. insane.

then as i watched him jump and survive, but jump without a regret in this world... i decided you can't come to a place like this and not experience everything it's got! so i climbed up and went down a few currents til i was where he was. there i was standing not knowing what lay beneath scared as hell to jump. i thought of my life thus far and all the things i cherish in this world. my heart pounding in my chest i freed my mind of regrets and hopes and just lived in that moment. took a deep breath said a quick prayer and thought to myself "no one ever said you'd live forever." and stepped off the cliff.

instant exhilaration. i felt so alive! definitely one of the happiest moments of my life.

this is a beautiful photo essay by Todd Heisler

it really connects with my theory of why cycling is so fun, well maybe not too much but the pictures portray it.
i always compare being a cyclist in the city to being in the wild west. you're an outlaw you live by your own rules, you feel alive the closer you are to death. when you go fast nothing can stop you.

Sorry folks, I haven't been updating whatsoever, its alright you guys got ryeone to entertain your reading pleasures haha. I'm just here to feed off of his fame...kidding i'm totally kidding. I've just been up to the whole bboy lifestyle as you can see by past posts that I was actually in marysville for Marysville 360. Here i am back on the blog run.

As you can see ryeone's been hype on the jazz thing. I've been completely into the whole funk/soul joint this past month heres a little something by the staple singers- Let's do it again

currently just laying here in my underpants spinnin the jazz.

i have a few things for you to vibe with
i know ice tea is pretty self explanatory. it's just ice and tea right? NO!
i've worked it out to an art form heres my recipe for good ole fashioned iced T

first off you need to boil the water. BUT! not just any water i'm sure a lot of people stupidly make this mistake. to make the perfect cup of tea you need to start with cold water. cold water is fresher then hot water, hot water comes from your boiler and has a generally less clean taste. so i run the tap cold for a few seconds then boil

once the water is boiled i add the amount of sugar i want to the pitcher. the amount of sugar you add is totally up to you keep in mind lemons and tea are quite bitter so you wanna balance that out but not over power the flavor. but anyway yea i like to make sugar water first .

once the sugar is disintegrated into the water i add the tea bags. i let it steep for about 5 to 7 minutes this is also to preference.

i slice a couple thin lemon slices and add them to the mix. at this point the tea is still hot, i remove the tea bags. you may wonder why the pitcher is only one third full thats because i add the remainder in ice.

once thats done i like to leave it in my fridge to set up. i usually make it in the morning so i can come home to a nice tall glass in the evening while i listen to this classy ish.

then a ton of kids bum rushed the store bought all the good stuff and the temperature raised by about 10 degrees..

anyone who came after 2 was stupid because you basically stood in line for 20 to 30 minutes to the realization that maybe 3 hours earlier smart kids bum rushed the store and bought all the stuff you would have liked.

it's like i tell my home-b jojo, kids are stupid these days..

the rest of the day i just cooled out from a long days work. road my bike visited the birthday dude. and chilled with jolin.

I'm Almost a Month Too LATE!
but on April 18th there once was a house party.....

Yeah we know, wait ... no I know .. i was responsible for posting this and clearly i never got around to it but if you weren't there you weren't witnessing one of the biggest house parties i've ever attended to personally but i was hosting it so I had so many responsibilities and so many people to talk too, within a short period of time. Music was bumpin`!, Dj's were on point Kudos to Vuudoo and Jolin!, Emcee was on point Angelo Doromal! and everyone was steady and not to crazy but sorry to say but it might be the last one i'm having... 3rds a charm and cops caught me red handed but at a good time right when i turn 19!! haha. Anyway to rap it up quick... we closed everything down at 11:30/12 ish... but noone knows what happened after the party was over... but thats another story to tell...

I've been seriously M.I.A and thats not healthy for the blog, but here i am again!

So for those of you who are either boxing fans, Filipino or British or have bestfriends that are Filipino or British or that just heard from your Filipino or British friend's. The one and only
Manny " Pacman " Pacquiao ... took the ring by storm. The fight only lasted 2 rounds... 1st round Pacquiao knocked down Hatton TWICE... +1 for pacman ... 2nd round 20 seconds left i believe pacquiao throws a left hook and leaves Hatton down for 10 thats all you guys really need to know, Hatton left without being interviewed because supposingly he was "weak", In my opinion i think pacquiao left him with a concussion. I have one more question to give up to all you boxing fans.
Who should Pacquiao fight next ? besides mayweather since hes scheduled for a fight in July against Juan Marquez...

koala drink is probably the worst/best thing that has ever happened to me. i wouldn't be surprised if i drink more then a a gallon of this stuff a week. my recycling bin is literally jam packed full of these empty bottles..

"seasoned broad bean" is a bit of a odd thing to eat at first. mostly because they look like fried beetles and the crunch and texture also lends credence to that theory. i can tell you this though, once you've had your first you can't stop eating the damned things.

anyways my life is probably boring you so here are some videos .

this to me is wack as a young male growing up in vancouver i have to be straight up and say i don't trust the police. and if you don't trust the police who the hell can you trust... i know i'm not alone here. this is a big reason why i don't use public transit so much

so what if he smells of marijuana i've heard of dudes with entire garbage bags full of marijuana on the skytrain where were you goofs then? the vindication behind his anger is that even if he did smell "like drugs" why is he automatically carrying enough weed to be arrested. the only possible reason is they think he's some sort of marijuana fiend or a drug dealer now THAT is pretty offensive no matter what angle you take.

The caption/title says it all, Valerie- Amy Winehouse is officially my jam for my birthday week. First off on wednesday I officially turned 19 the BIG 19 it feels good , I went to Tunnel for the Questlove performance! shit was bananas i gotta cop some pictures for all of you soon. Thurs I hit up the BoomBox Saints & Afterthought session at LUGZ cafe ... Which was DOPE!, the acoustic feel and the atmosphere was tight!. Now on GOOD friday i'm sitting here jamming to my 2 favorite songs of the week... DON'T SLEEP! on these songs
